Adam Curtis' new documentary series, All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace

If you liked The Power of Nightmares then you should totally check out Adam Curtis' new three-part BBC series All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace. He tackles cyber-utopianism and the notion that the introduction of new tools automatically produces radical shifts within power structures. Sound like a bit of a snoozer? It sure as hell isn't! He manages to strike a happy medium between traditional narrator-driven documentary and an edgier style (at times frenetic in an "MTV back when they actually showed music videos" kind of way.)

Please note that these are YouTube links which may break should the BBC decide to file a take-down. If that happens, I'll try to redirect the links to a meaningful alternative.

Now *that's* what I call a hoopty!
